Adult & Geriatric Acute and chronic adult and geriatric care is offered at this clinic. This includes the care and management of hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, COPD, arthritis, and multiple other chronic conditions that require regular and consistent medical management.
With our onsite lab, many of the values on which we depend for managing diabetes, for example, are readily available during your office visit so that management plan can be customized to your condition. We also are able to perform EKG, holter monitoring, and spirometry. Radiology is referred to Memorial Hermann or other facilities depending on your insurance needs and preferences. Patients that require hospitalization can be admitted either directly by Dr. Abusharr to his medical service, or he is able to provide medical management if the patients is admitted to a specialist physician. Dr. Abusharr is on the medical staff at both Memorial Hermann The Woodlands and St. Lukes The Woodlands. He is also on the staff at HealthSouth and Nexus Specialty Hospital. Geriatric and palliative care are of great interest to Dr. Abusharr who actively utilizes both home health agencies and hospice when the goals for the elderly patient are comfort and quality of life rather than cure. |
